Message from the Executive Director. Grateful. That’s my word for the month. Grateful is the feeling I get when I think about the staff, board members, volunteers, donors, adult learners, partners, and contractors who have shown me and Each One Teach One kindness and grace over the past several months. Our motto at Each One Teach One is “One learner. One tutor. Changed Lives.” It is exciting to see the impact of our tutoring model at work. Recently, I was honored to speak to two adult learners who achieved their personal goals. One improved her writing skills so that her emails at work were more professional. She achieved that goal with the help of her tutor and left our program feeling accomplished because she was doing better at work. Another learned after a test that she had jumped four grade levels in math since being with Each One Teach One. We had a party right there in the room. Being able to contribute in any way to these outcomes brings me joy and gratitude, and I’m looking forward to seeing more lives changed as we turn the page on 2024. And, as for all of you who showed me and this organization kindness and support, I look forward to seeing you and expressing my gratitude in person at our Open House at 815 El Monte Blvd. this Friday.December 2024 Newsletter
